Impact at New York Theater Festival

Rebecca’s original play, IMPACT was selected into New York Theater Festival and performed December 1st-6th!

Set against the backdrop of an upcoming Bat Mitzvah, IMPACT is a “traumedy” that unpacks the emotional layers of a family confronting a shared trauma. It’s a raw, real, and unexpectedly funny exploration of how we come together as a family, when it matters most. Based on a true story.

"A universal story about family, dealing with trauma, and Jewish joy."

-  Stacey Maltin (Award Winning Producer & Filmmaker of Malka with Tovah Feldshuh)

"Remarkable…Elegantly haunting.."

-  Hank Kimmel (Immediate Past President for The Alliance for Jewish Theatre, Playwright)

"Quirky and sensitive... a flawed family in the wake of trauma."

- Robin Carus (Casting Director)

"Miss Goldfarb's writing is ahead of her time... her voice [in ‘IMPACT’] resonates through generations."

- Yair Ben Dor (Actor from MTC’s Prayer for the French Republic, Writer, and Producer)

"Rebecca skillfully weaves the lives of five very different family members in a beautiful, thought-provoking resolution."

- Arielle Flax (Writer and Actor in Observant)
